November 30, 2009 · Filed Under Glastonbury 2010 · Comment

It looks like the recent reformation of Spandau Ballet has put them in the spotlight and rumours are already starting to fly about the music industry.

One source close to Worthy farm had this to say - “Spandau Ballet will be another good get and they’ll definitely get a plum slot on the bill. Michael’s a huge fan.”

With more and more acts added daily, this years festival is set to be one of the best ever.

Glastonbury scoops 2 Awards at the UK Festival Awards

November 24, 2009 · Filed Under Glastonbury 2010 · Comment

The UK Festival Awards have given the “best major festival” award to Glastonbury and also managed to take another award but it was more Blur’s award than Glastonbury’s. The “best headline performance” went to Blur for their outstanding set at the 2009 festival.

“It’s amazing,” Emily Eavis just told us. “We’re really pleased. Big thanks to everyone who voted for us.”

Lets hope that the 2010 festival is just as good, if not better. See you at the stone circle :-)

I got a message from somebody close to the music scene today putting me onto this band called The Odds, without going into too much detail the email basically said these guys are pulling out all stops to be added to the line up for Glastonbury.

What do you think of them?

Personally I like em and would certainly check them out this coming year.

November 5, 2009 · Filed Under Glastonbury 2010 · Comment

6 Music revealed that the legendary Queen guitarists Brian May would be more than happy to play Glastonbury along with Robert Plant if given the opportunity.

“I’d play with Robert any time and when we have played together he’s wonderful. Robert is a rock god and an inspiration to us all, always will be,”  May said.

Adding: “There’s some people that remain your heroes which I rather feel good about. And Clapton and Page, Jeff Beck, those guys will always be heroes to me and that will never change, so yeah, of course I’ll go at the drop of a hat.”.
