Glastonbury 2010 See’s The Return Of The Leftfield Tent
Glastonbury 2010 will see the return of the Leftfield tent. Because Glastonbury is the original activist festival. It has always had that political edge since its rebirth in the 1980s as a gathering for dissidents and dancers. Leftfield’s mixture of red and green politics aims to reflect the way activism plays an important part in the festival as a whole.
Snoop Dogg to play Glastonbury?
The Sun has today reported that the controversial rapper Snoop Dogg may be able to play at this year’s festival. The gangsta star has won a long-running court battle which means he can apply for a UK visa. This win means that the authorites may be hard pushed to find a good enough reason to refuse his application.
Michael Eavis is reported as saying that his daughter Emily, now one of the main bookers for Glastonbury, wants the rap artist to appear on this year’s lineup. Eavis confirmed that he is currently in talks with Snoop’s management in order to make this happen.
