Bookmakers Odds On For Glastonbury 2010

The Rolling StonesLike always the bookmakers are eager to cash in on anything. Like the flies they are, buzzing around the proverbial turd that is Glastonbury, William Hill have released their list of odds on artists ready to fill the headline slot.

Sources close to the festival have already let it slip the the Rolling Stones WILL be playing at Glastonbury. So that pretty much means its pointless having a bet on anyone else. But if you fancy a flutter anyway, here are the odds -

Oasis 33/1
Manic Street Preachers 25/1
Spandau Ballet 25/1
Madness 25/1
Stone Roses 20/1
Robbie Williams 20/1
Green Day 20/1
Kings Of Leon 16/1
Red Hot Chili Peppers 16/1
Elton John 16/1
Prince 16/1
Radiohead 14/1
Arctic Monkeys 12/1
U2 12/1
Muse 10/1
David Bowie 8/1
Coldplay 8/1
Rolling Stones 4/1

For pure open-air rock band perfection, the only act I’ve dreamed of seeing at Glasto since I first went in 1990 is Queen.. Even without Freddie. They would rock the house man! Mamma, just killed a man…
    Peace

Quite simple really for the Pyramid Stage – U2 Friday Night – Rolling Stones Saturday Night – Robert Plant, Jimmy Paige plus the boys for the Sunday Night – Now that would be a 40th birthday not to be missed -

Love to see Sonic Youth, The Fall, Jesus and Mary Chain, Primal Scream and if bands could reform Stone Roses and Loop. My kids would love to see Dizzee Rascal, no educating some kids!

We are really hoping that The Killers will come back and Artic Monkeys, Foals, Maximo Park and White Stripes would be superb. And Paul Weller, Hard Fi and a whole load of fab new bands we haven’t heard of yet.

The Stereophonics are great – and although it may seem strange to suggest, but Take That were fantastic live, and I do think they could make Glastonbury Rock and Sway in a beautiful way! Lookingforward to Glasto 2010 already! Hp
