David Bowie for Glastonbury 2010
40 years have been and gone since the festival first begun. Glastonbury was originally called the Pilton Festival, the very first act to play was Stackridge and that was the moment it all started for Michael Eavis.
Since then he has had over 50 million visitors to his farm, each one leaves with memories that last a lifetime.
He has promised this years festival to be one like no other, a “greatest hits” of all 40 years. From this strong rumours started to fly around that legendary David Bowie will be headlining on the Friday night.
Space Oddity – had to use this video so UK visitors could watch it

I know they had to pull out in 1995 but I would absolutely adore it if the Stone Roses re-formed for a one off and headlined! That would make my life complete!!
