    next year. YOU NEED THEM

  16. Big Andy on August 24th, 2009 3:15 pm

    Massive rumours for Blink 182.

They posted a comment on their twitter hinting at confirmiation of Glasto 2010, then deleted it!

They are on a comeback and haven’t played for a few years (like what Mr. Eavis said).

So an educated guess makes me put a huge bet on them playing!

P.S Saw them when they first toured England. Still is the best gig I’ve been to!

  17. Sam on August 28th, 2009 9:41 pm

please please please get ian brown to glastonbury 2010 and if Paul Weller turns up well then that would be truely amazing.

I am hoping for AC/DC, Rage against the machine, muse, radiohead, them crooked vultures/foo fighters, pendulum, chemical brothers, Kaiser Chiefs and the strokes to be somewhere on the lineup

  20. Loris Reed on September 1st, 2009 8:03 pm

id like to see a few bands there to be honest Kasabian, Arctic monkeys, KOL, JBT many others i cant wait for the lineup to come out

  21. Rach on September 3rd, 2009 8:56 pm

The line up isn’t normally officially announced until shortly before so you may have to wait a while!
Last year the tickets were £175. They also went on pre-sale in October last year so you can pay £50 deposit and the rest when they actually go on sale, probably around April time.
    Soooooo worth it though!

    1. Micheal eavis booked a headliner at the nme awards which muse were at
    2. The eavises said that most acts hadn’t played for a few years (muse did 2004)
    3. They were asked to do it a few years ago but didn’t and said they might in a few years time (well now is a few years time)

oh and someone who played in 1970 and is now an organic potato farmer

  55. hannah on October 4th, 2009 12:47 pm

also pete doherty said the libertines would do uk festivals in 2010 with or without carl barat and now carl said they aren’t reforming till at least 2011 so maybe not but it would be cool. they are rumoured every year so you never really know

but anyway, who cares about muse, the libertines and everyone

    Hi,
I am the manager of Danny Ray a/k/a Big Black, who was featured in the film SOULPOWER, which I understand you screened at Glastonbury this year. Danny would like to appear there in 2010 – You can catch his performance in that film by going to “SOULPOWER BIG BLACK” on YOUTUBE.COM. You can also see it at his website at:bigblackmusic.com along with other bio info and videos etc.
We are putting a Golden Jubilee Tour for Black and would love to include Glastonbury on it. He has never played in the UK and I know his fans there would love to see him.
Personally, I have climbed the Tor andwould love to go back and do it again:)
    Best Regards
    Walter Sylvester

The last headlining slot is still open but the following acts are contenders ‘cos either the Eavises want them or the band wants to play: Muse, Green Day, Bon Jovi, Pulp, Coldplay, Madonna, U2, Daft Punk, Paul McCartney, Beyonce. More than one of these will likely perform, though. Other acts performing include Elbow, Pavement, Lady Gaga, Florence & the Machine, Fatboy Slim, The Chemical Brothers, Bob Dylan, Rolf Harris (pyramid), Massive Attack, Ian Brown, The Kooks, The xx, Them Crooked Vultures, Robert Plant and Brian May, Little Boots, Dizzee Rascal, etc.

my uncle ken will, for the 17th consecitive festival, be pitching his stall there selling his quality Barnsley Pork sausage butties. you reall ought to try a couple. ‘Ar ken dropped on chris martin out of coldplay in poundstretchers at rotherham in the boxing day sale, chris says he’s not doing glastonbury in 2010 as he’s taking his kids to cleethorpes that weekend and he’s already paid his £30 deposit which he may lose.

  186. glen the pencil on January 9th, 2010 6:50 pm

…also, on a recent trip to doncaster car boot sale, my uncle ken dropped on the legend that is shakin stevens. shaky says he’d love to show his (welsh dwarf) face but the eavis clan haven’t invited him, and that hurt his (welsh dwarf) feelings.
