No Ban For Glastonbury Flags

After a huge uproar from festival goers concerning the recent announcement from Melvin Benn to ban flags at Glastonbury Michael Eavis has told NME that he wont be supporting such a ban and that Glastonbury goers are free to bring their flags and fly them with pride.

Recently the management team at Reading & Leeds festival announced that they would be banning flags at this years event – set to go off this weekend, it was also confirmed that Melvin Benn had tried to get Glastonbury to tow the line in a bid to gain support for the initial decision to ban flags at Reading & Leeds.

Well I look at it this way, its okay if you are near to the bands.
If you are back beyond the video screens it is difficult to see the artist.
Plus those with a flag pole think they have a god given right to get to the front. Come on give the people a chance to enjoy themselves.

That sucks! They should have continued with the ban. Once again, we’re not going to be able to see the stage because of flags!!! GREAT!!! By the way, I was standing underneath a giant pig on a fishing pole when I was watching the ting tings Jenny :L
